Nars California Eyeshadow is a beautiful blend of copper/orange/gold and it's really a very hard color to define. I'm actually thinking it applies differently on every individual according to their undertones.

I've been wearing this shadow with a beautiful chestnut pigment by Mac in the crease along with Mac's avenue fluidline as my eyeliner. This combination is fastly becoming my everyday look because it's simple, sleek and such beautiful everyday look for my eyes without drama.

For this Lace Wig Repair, I added a total of 10 machine wefted tracks to create bulk in the sides and back. I bleached the knots on the front half of the wig. I sealed the entire wig with Easytab sealer to prevent shedding. Lastly, I added a drawstring elastic with combs for a better fit.

I bought three of the Milani Lip Flash Pencils because i've been reading a lot about them. I really adore these Lip Flash pencils and found them very easy to apply. I decided to watch a few YT videos to see how other ladies were wearing them and to my surprise, there's actually a few guidelines to follow:

1) Using a lip pencil almost the exact color of your lip flash,

2) Fill in your entire lips with the lip pencil,

3) Using an eye pencil in a darker color, outline your entire lips ( I chose Milani's retractable eye pencils)

4) Lastly, fill in your entire lips with the lip flash that matched your lip pencil

I used Photo Flash and In a Flash to create thest two looks, I hope you like them!

To create this look I used my BH Cosmetics 188 Color Palette. I used Mac's Painterly Paintpot underneath as a base and a blue liquid liner by NYX. I'm wearing my natural untamed eyelashes (no falsies) this time because I was in a hurry. The lipstick i'm wearing is Mac's Hibicus.

I'm still using my 7.2 megapixel camera so the colors aren't showing up vibrant at all. Hopefull by my next Lookbook post, i'll be using my new Canon EOS 18 megapixel camera.

I wonder why I never had a foundation match with MUFE because this is such a beautiful foundation that matches my skin perfectly. I love everything about this foundation, it's creamy, light as air, smooth, and so beautiful on my skin!

I wanted to do a comparison with the Mac Matchmaster foundation that I bought and reviewed a while awhile back with the swatch below. As you can see, the Matchmaster is much lighter but it does blend well into my skin, for some reason I thought the colors were close. I had to stop wearing all my Mac foundations because my skin was breaking out and once I stopped, the problems went away.

These are the Liquidlast Eye Liners that I also purchased from the CCO. The colors are very vibrant but they are extremely hard to remove. Just from applying these swatches I noticed they wouldn't wipe off with makeup wipes. I had to apply baby oil to lift the swatches off. I guest that's why they're called Liquidlast!

For those of you that don't know what a CCO is well let me explain. CCO stands for "Cosmetic Company Outlet and they're located all over the US and you can find them in major Outlet Malls. All CCO's are owned by the Estee Lauder Co and they carry all the brands owned by her company. You can find Mac, Bobby Brown, Origins and of course Estee Lauder at 30% markdowns.

Any makeup left over from the collections that have been pulled from the shelves in department stores gets distributed to the CCOs. The closest CCO near me is in an outlet center called "The Block of Orange". It's about a 35min drive without traffic and I absolutely love finding a reason to travel there.

The outlet center has tons of other outlet stores such as Off 5th Saks, Neiman's, Coach, Gucci's and a ton of jewerly outlet stores. I took photos of everything so in the following posts, i'll highlight everything.... so stay tuned!

If you haven't heard abour CHI (Cationic Hydration Interlink) products I must say you're really missing out! CHI is a line of professional products available at all major beauty supplies that provides extreme moisture to your hair.

These products aren't cheap but they're well worth the money. I'm currently using these two products after reviewing so many Youtube videos on how wonderful these products work for rehydrating hair and protecting the hair from heat.

Silk Infusion - I love this product. I apply it onto my hair wet right after i've rinsed my conditioner out. What I first notice is that my hair becomes extremely soft, I mean I can't even explain how soft it feels and I have really coarse hair. It also has a really nice smell that compliments the product.

44 Iron Guard - I have mixed feelings about this product. It is heat protector that provides an extra coating over the hair to protect it from the heat. Well i've tried using it two ways and i'm still not sure i'm using it right. It's a spray that dampens the hair so the first time I used it I applied it right after the Silk Infusion and proceeded to blow dry. I noticed my hair was very hard and stiff and there wasn't any bounce to it.

The second time I used it I waited until my hair was dry, then I sprayed it on which made it a little damp so I had to dried it again. This time I noticed it wasn't as stiff but I didn't like having to dry it a second time.... so the jury is still out on this product.

I have been wearing this foundation primer for about a week now and i'm finally ready to give my honest opinion about the product. I first came across this product while watching a Youtube makeover by Kandee Johnson. She does makovers on average women and this particular makeover was on a women 56yrs of age. This was the primer she used in the video and her results were fabulous.

I hesitated before buying it because I didn't know if Kandee was a spokesperson for the product, but since it was geared towards aging skin I decided to go for it. This primer isn't cheap, its cost $45 at Sephora.

The primer comes in a tube and is a clear gel. After using it for just two days, I immediately noticed a difference under my foundation. My skin looks very smooth and my foundation glides right on. I immediately noticed that any lines I have weren't visible to me and I couldn't believe it. The product is suppose to fill in any fine lines and I must say, it does exactly as it says. Overall, I give this product a 90% rating only because it isn't geared for oily skin and I had a few areas where oils came through.

Cooking ~ Shrimp and Chicken Kabobs

Whenever i'm stuck as to what to cook, my very easy shrimp & chicken Kabobs always comes to mind. These are very easy to prepare and all you need is a few simple ingredients:

How to Prepare:

1-lb of shrimp cooked or uncooked

2 chicken breast

1 large bellpepper

1 large onion

Olive Oil

Babeque Sause

Pineapple chunks (optional)

Prepare the shrimp by peeling and cutting off the tail. Pound the chicken breast to semi flat and cut into squares. Cut onion and bellpepper into squares and cut pineapples into squares if you are using them. You can also use small cherry tomatoes and yellow and red bellpeppers.

Season all the ingredients in a large bowl with the seasoning of your choice. Using wooden kabob sticks (or metal if you prefer) start sliding on the vegetables, chicken and shrimp in a similar pattern.

Coat the skillet with Olive Oil under medium hot flame, place the kabobs into the skillet and continue to turn so the can brown evenly. Using a small brush, coat the kabobs with the babeque of your choice and serve hot.

I picked up two items from the "Daphne Guinness" collection. The Blush I bought was called Azalea Blossoms and it looks very pretty against my skin. It appeared a little lighter when I applied it to my cheeks and I felt I had to darken it with another blush to achieve the look I wanted. I will say that it's very pigmented and can be worn by itself if you prefer the rich pink look.

I also picked up the Narcissus Creamsheen Lip Glass. It's very nice but it's not very pigmented. I definitely have to pair it with a lipstick because it's a little sheer for my taste.

A did a comparison with two of my favorite lip glasses from Mac to see if the colors were similar. It's nothing like the others so I think it'll get plenty of use.

I finally received my order from Sugarpill Cosmetics. I ordered 5 of their loose eyeshadows on Nov 25th of Black Friday weekend. I received an email confirmation on Dec 2nd that my order had shipped. I finally received my order on Dec 20th. This entire process took almost one month but I was extremely surprised and happy when it finally arrived.

Holidays ~ It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

I couldn't live without having my tree flocked!

That's the only downsize about us Californian... is not having snow in the winter so it was "not" an option when it came to deciding whether or not to have my tree flocked. My tree is an 8 foot tall Noble Fur. It cost $75 without the flocking and an extra $15 to have it flocked.

I picked up all my decorations from Sam's Club this year at very good prices and decided to go with white lights on the tree because it's just so beautiful against the white snow. Of course the snow get's everywhere but that's the joy of having a white Christmas!

I am absolutely in love with Smashbox's prime and set kit. I ordered this on a whim when Smashbox had their 30% discount during Black Friday weekend. I had read a few reviews that this primer was excellent for oily skin and I must say.... it didn't disappoint.

My foundation looks flawless when I apply it over this primer. I still use a little milk of magnesia underneath it on my t-zone but I just love the way this makes my skin so smooth. I'm equally pleased with the setting powder. My preference is Mac's Prep & Prime setting powder but I have to say this setting powder set's my foundation just as nicely without noticing a hugh difference.

Well, most of them are wearing wigs that were made for them with a center part. I'm wearing a custom wig I made for myself with a 1" center part to leave out my natural hair for a beautiful center part.

When applied, the color seems to change my foundation a bit lighter. I don't find this strange because colors vary from brand to brand and that's why we buy all the ones we like!

I thought I would take a break from beauty and cometics and start posting some of my favorite jewerly items. This necklace is about 20yrs old. I've had it since I was in my early 30's. I bought it at a gems and mineral show and it holds a little sentimental value to me.

My camera isn't the best, only 7.2mp so the color isn't that clear but it's really a very pretty purple color. I'm working on getting a professional camera and the Canon EOS 60D is at the top of my list!

I sometimes have acne and most often it leaves a scar which always turns darker than my skin. My scars are very hard to fade and very annoying. My Dermatologist gave me a prescription called Soliquin Forte. Soliquin Forte has an active ingredient called Hydroquinone which is known to fade scars and even the skin tone. The prescription cost somewhere around $45 if you get it from a US pharmacy.

Well after researching a few online pharmacy's, I found the same cream under a different name called Ultraquin. Untraquin comes in the same prescription strength but you can get it from Canada Drug Superstore without a prescription. It comes in two formulas, Plain or with Sunblock and only cost $32 per tube.

I have had no problems receiving my items from Canada except that it takes about 2wks and shipping is about $8 Canada Post. I ordered 3 tubes so it would last awhile and i'm very pleased with my results.

Spirituality ~ A Vortex of Energies

This photo is the background on my Monitor. It is a very mythical image that represents a halo or a vortex of energies emerging from a spectrum of colors. If you're into meditation, it might be something you would use to focus on during your practice. It would be similar to a "Yantra" which is another tool used to focus on during meditation.

There's many tools one can use to stimulate the brain and relax the mind, images is only one of them. There's also sound which comes in many forms... matras, music, drums, cymbals, etc... but I prefer to sit in silence.

If you're meditating while focusing on this image, the colors in the image will start to blend creating a halo or vortex. This will begin simulating motions in the brain, similar to brain waves. When this happens, you will become more relaxed and your thoughts will start to fade.

You'll start to hear tones in a very monotone pitch that seem very far away and your breathing will become softer. When this happens, you'll know you're going deeper into your meditation.... eventually your mind will become blank and you will become one with the universe.

This lipstick is a fun, beautiful red cherry color that I simply adore! Talk about staying power, this lipstick definitely passed the test. I put it on around 10am, I went power-walking, ran a few errands and drank a few liquids. By the time I got home and peeped in the mirror I couldn't believe it was still on. I was like... i'm definitely getting a backup of this!

Mac released three limited edition holiday ornaments filled with pigments and I bought the Berry ornament. I'm so in love with these pigments! Just look at the swatches and you'll see why. My absolute favorite is the Spicy Smoke. It's so pretty I don't want to use it because once it's gone, it's gone. Mac has never bought back a limited edition pigment and made it permanent and for that reason, I just might pick up the Smokey ornament also.

I purchased this Earring Rack from Store Supply for $22.95. This rack is hugh and holds over 200 pairs of earrings. I don't think I have a lot of earrings because my stash only filled up one side of the rack.

I plan on doing an actual Jewerly video showing some of the cool pieces i've collected over the year. Some of my pieces are very outdated from the 80's and 90's but it's fun keeping things around to actually see they'll become antiques.

I've had this jewerly armoire for a few years and I bought it from Craigslist for $300. There's some really cool peices under the furniture section if you're looking for something particular. This is my absolute favorite place in my entire home. Needless to say it's where I spend a hugh amount of my time doodling, messing and picking my face... sigh! Those nice black cabinets are actually called Leatherette Jewerly Boxes and I absolutely love them.

I have always done my own pedicures because I find it so relaxing. I'm just starting to experiment with different looks like layering polishes, adding sparkles and charms and being really creative. I do love watching the Youtube videos on nail designs and now i'm experimenting with my toes because it's fun!

I wanted to say a few words about this clear polish finish because it really keeps my nail from chipping. I've experienced wearing my polish for over 2wks without seeing any chips. I use it both as a base and a top coat and I do apply two coats on top because I like the high gloss finish.

When it comes to my face, I only trust Shiseido. I've been using Shiseido's skin care products for about 25yrs now and i'm absolutely 100% certain that my skin is anti-aging and anti-wrinkle because of my diligence. I'm very particular about what goes around my eyes and this eye cream comes highly recommended. Mind you it's not cheap and it cost about $50 but it last about six month.

I apply this eye cream nightly around my entire eye area (top and bottom) all the way up to my browbone. It's very creamy and soothing. I do sleep with an eyemask on and I do use a clean eyemask every night. I've been making my own eyemasks for years so I have tons of them. I feel the eyemask is very important in sealing the moisture around the eyes.

This is the last item from Nars that I bought from the Sephora F&F 20% Sale. Nars Irresistiblement Bronzer is so very beautiful. It's almost the exact color of my skin and therefore when I tried to swatch it, it didn't show up on my arm.

Sometimes I prefer wearing Bronzers as a setting powder instead of wearing a loose powder. I apply it all over my face for a very clean natural look. Since I looked up swatches before I ordered it to make sure there wasn't any shimmer, I knew I had to have it because it was an exact match for my complexion.

This by far is one of the prettiest eyeshadows i've purchased from Nars thus far. This is also a matte eyeshadow and although I feel the vibrancy of the color is very pretty, I had to swatch it a couple of times on my arm to achieve the vibrant color shown in the photo. CUSTOM LACE FRONT WIGS - $350, $375, $400

All custom Lace Front Wigs comes with a custom closure. The sizes are "2x4" or 3x3" ($350.00) or "3x4" ($375) or 4x4" ($400.00). These are the only sizes I offer Individual tracks are machine sewn to complete the remainder of the wig.

This wig is made like a full weave giving you the option to sew it down or use the combs. You also have the option of applying lace glue to secure the top closure giving you a very natural hair line, or just letting it lie flat accros the front.

The lace is sealed to prevent shedding but you must continue to use a sealer before and after each washing. Baby hair is added to give you a natural hairline and combs are sewn inside giving you the option to remove it easily. All units are made using the sewing machine so they will never fall apart. 10ozs or more of hair is required.

CUSTOM U-SHAPE WIGS - $225

All custom U-shape wigs are made using the same measurements as your Custom Lace Front Wigs but without the lace closure. A U-shape wig has a top cutout allowing you to wear your natural hair out on top. U-shape wigs come with a 1", 2" or 3" opening. All U-shape wigs come with combs for easy attachment

CUSTOM FALLS - $200

All custom falls are made using the same measurements as your Custom Lace Front & U-Shape Wigs but without any lace. Falls are meant to be worn with the entire front hairline out for a natural look. I just received the custom 3" opening fall and wanted to take time to review Lily's work. First, she worked with me on very short notice and gave sound advice on the final outcome of the cap leaving me the option of a center or middle part. The construction is unparalleled. The cap is a perfect fit and I so appreciate the attention to detail and quality of workmanship. The extra measure of initial hand sewing with final machine sewing only adds to the extreme durability of this fall. I just picked this up at my local Target and it only cost $15. This palette packs 144 colors which are mostly matte. I thought this was an incredible buy because the colors are so vibrant and lively.

I took the liberty of swatching a few just to show the pigmentation. When I transferred the swatches onto my arm, as you can see, the colors weren't at all vibrant. The only color I had problems transferring was the yellow. I had to swatch the yellow a few times in order for it to show up. All in all, I think this would make a nice stocking stuffer for the holidays!

Mac Violetta Lipstick

Violetta was re-released in normal packaging with the Fall Color Collection. I didn't buy it because I already had it from the Venemous Villian collection from last Xmas. It's such a bad girl lipstick and I feel very devilicious whenever I wear it which isn't that often. I paired it with Mac's Lipliner in Grape.

My Eyeshadows came from Earth Goddess Minerals.

I'm wearing Tangerine, Electric Wysteria and Antique Rose. I absolutely love the vibrant colors and I found them very smooth and easy to apply.

I don't really pack on the colors because i'm in my early 50's and well.... I don't think it's age appropriate but i've seen them on another Blog applied very layered and so I just thought I would order some and try them for myself.... and I absolutely love them.

I am absolutely in love with Extended Play! It has now become my Fall go-to color. The wear on these lipsticks lasted for 5 hours and i'm extremely pleased with the smooth overall texture. I would say it's between a lustre and amplified finish. I'm wearing Extended Play and C-Thru in my photo below.
